Conservatives Say Senate Should Be Voting on Kavanaugh

Conservatives believe that Senate Republicans should have proceeded to vote on and confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court this week, rather than surrendering to Democrat demands for another delay in the process, according to a poll by FedUp PAC.

Continuing with the vote, originally scheduled for Tuesday, October 2, had the support of 87.9% of those responding, while 7.7% supported the delay.  Another 4.5% were undecided on the best course of action.

Senate Democrats, having already been granted two delays so as to hold last Thursday’s additional hearing, insisted that the FBI be given time to repeat the investigation previously carried out by the Judiciary Committee staff.  GOP Senators Jeff Flake, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins joined the Democrats on that point, requiring a one-week delay.

It is becoming obvious that the Democrats’ true goal was merely further delay.  No sooner had their request for the FBI investigation been granted than they began complaining that much more than one week would be needed and that the scope should be broadened.

However, Kavanaugh’s support among Republican Senators seems to be holding up.  Sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell, who handled much of the GOP questioning last Thursday, has given her professional opinion that the accusation against Kavanaugh is too weak for any reasonable prosecutor to take to court.  Christine Blasey Ford’s own witnesses have contradicted her claims, her various statements are filled with contradictions, and she has nothing but what she claims to remember to put up against Kavanaugh’s sterling reputation and the statement issued by more than 200 women defending his character.

Sen. Flake has already stated that he will vote for Kavanaugh unless the FBI turns up new information, and nothing at this point indicates that Collins and Murkowski have turned against the judge.  A recent poll show that 60% of Americans support confirmation if the FBI fails to uncover information confirming the accusations.

The real question is whether GOP “moderates” will again cave in to the next Democrat demand for yet one more delay, allowing more time for the character assassination of Kavanaugh to continue.

FedUp PAC is a grass roots organization whose goal in 2018 is to save the Trump presidency by maintaining GOP control of Congress.  FedUp PAC is working to reveal the Democrats as far-left, anti-American extremists who want to transform the United States into a bankrupt socialist nation such as Cuba or Venezuela.  It is not affiliated with any candidate or committee.
