Even such liberal cheerleaders as The Washington Post and the New York Times have had to admit that the “blue wave” is ebbing and the House of Representatives is up for grabs on November 6.
With dozens of districts now too close to call, radical Democrats still expect to win control of the House and launch an all-out war on President Trump. If they get their way, 2019 will begin with a multitude of investigations, and move on to the impeachment of President Trump, Justice Kavanaugh, and perhaps Vice President Pence.
Instead of the lower taxes and deregulation that have produced a booming economy and rock-bottom unemployment, Democrats would push to raise taxes and impose crippling regulations, especially on energy.
Instead of tightened security on the border and increasing deportations of illegal aliens, they would use the “power of the purse” to abolish ICE, block the building of the wall, and open the border to a flood of illegals.
Instead of respecting human life, they would demand taxpayer-funded abortions.
Instead of respect for the Second Amendment, they would push for gun bans.
Perhaps worst of all, victory at the polls would encourage radical Democrats in every part of the country to step up their mob action, sometimes violent, aimed at Republicans and Trump supporters.
For months, Democrats have been confident that this was their future, as one pundit after another confidently predicted a massive “blue wave” of angry voters that would put the House (and maybe the Senate) into their hands.
But the polls have been changing, and that is no longer a sure thing. The Washington Post now says its polling shows the key swing districts too close to call, with Democrats holding only a narrow advantage.
We can save the House from Democrat control by making sure the small number of swing voters in key districts know how dangerous it would be to put the Democrats back in power.
