Ballot Integrity Petition

To: Reince Priebus, Chairman, Republican National Committee

WHEREAS: The Washington Post reported on December 10, 2015, that you and “leading figures in the party’s establishment are preparing for the possibility of a ‘brokered’ [Republican] convention” this year, and

WHEREAS: Details related in The Washington Post report strongly suggest “longtime Republican power brokers” are planning to launch an effort at the GOP convention to stop the nomination of presidential candidate Donald Trump, and

WHEREAS: A national poll of Republican and Republican-leaning voters conducted by FedUp PAC found the possibility that GOP power brokers will use party rules to hijack the 2016 Convention and ignore the will of Republican voters is a great concern for 82% of those surveyed, and

WHEREAS: An overwhelming 92% of those in the FedUp PAC poll declared the importance of honoring the integrity of “the primary and caucus elections of their states,” and

WHEREAS: Party rules adopted in 2012 to make it more difficult for a conservative candidate outside of the GOP establishment to win the nomination are still in place.

THEREFORE: The undersigned grassroots Republican voter petitions you to honor the results of Republican presidential primary and caucus elections and to put down any attempt by Washington Republican operatives to override those results.
