Campaign by Conservatives to Win Eight Key Senate Seats by BRANDING Democrats as the Party of Anti-Catholic Bigotry and Taxpayer-Paid Abortion on Demand

FedUp PAC Staff

BRANDING the Democrat Party and Democrat candidates as bigoted anti-Catholic supporters of taxpayer-paid abortion on demand is the most effective way to motivate Catholic voters — the largest group of "swing" voters in any election — to turnout in November and prevent a Democrat takeover of the U.S.Congres.

FedUp Political Action Committee is the only group using targeted marketing to hang the anti-Catholic bigot BRAND around the necks of Democrats on the November ballot, with special emphasis on eight carefully targeted U.S. Senate seats.

My name is Richard Viguerie and I led the way in political direct marketing in the 1960s and 70s, sending out over 4 BILLION postal letters and billions of email letters that helped build the conservative movement.

No wonder the Associated Press once remarked "the liberals are especially concerned about 'that guy across the river [in Virginia],' Richard Viguerie."

That's because I cracked the code on the single most effective form of advertising for political campaigns: targeted marketing.

Often 95% of the advertising dollars spent on TV and radio are wasted because they reach everyone instead of just the people an advertiser needs to reach.

Targeted marketing works best because it focuses on an audience or group – and only that group.

Could you please help FedUp PAC use targeted marketing to BRAND Democrats as pro-abortion anti-Catholic bigots with your donation of $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or whatever amount you want to contribute? No other group besides FedUp PAC is following a strategy like this to prevent a Democrat takeover of the Senate on November 6, but I must rely on generous conservatives like you to make it work.

I am counting on your best donation because Republicans almost never win unless they target specific voter groups like Catholics, and Donald Trump is only the most recent example.

Going into the 2016 elections, the winner of the Catholic vote had won five of the previous six Presidential elections.

That was bad news for candidate Trump, who, as late as October 3, 2016, trailed Hillary Clinton among Catholics by 6 percentage points in a Religion News Service poll.

I knew the only way to turn those numbers around was to use targeted marketing to show Catholic voters the anti-Catholic bigotry of Hillary Clinton.

In the weeks leading up to the election, my political action committee, FedUp PAC, sent emails and placed digital ads targeting Catholic voters in states where those voters could make a difference. Our messages carried information on Hillary Clinton's and the Democrat Party's anti-Catholic policies and rhetoric that the media wasn't reporting.

For example, we let Catholics know that Hillary thinks they and other Christians need to "change" their religious beliefs on moral issues like abortion and same-sex marriage to fit the times.

We also exposed e-mails released by WikiLeaks that revealed Clinton campaign manager John Podesta bragging about "infiltrating" the Catholic Church with liberals who could foment a "revolution" to force the "middle ages dictatorship" of the Church to accept same-sex marriage, abortion, and other sacrosanct liberal beliefs.

In other words, FedUp PAC BRANDED Hillary Clinton as a bigoted anti-Catholic extremist in a way that convinced enough Catholic voters she was a threat to their beliefs and values. You can read more about this effort in the enclosed report "How Catholics Swung the Electoral College Vote to Donald Trump."

President Trump ended up defeating Hillary Clinton among Catholic voters by a margin of 52% to 45% – a huge change from 2012, when Catholics went for Barack Obama by a margin of 2%, and 2008, when they voted in favor of Obama by a 9% margin.

BRANDING Hillary Clinton an anti-Catholic bigot and supporter of abortion-on-demand helped motivate Catholic voter turnout and shift the Catholic vote enough to make a difference in 2016.

If anything, two years later, the Democrat Party's contempt for Catholics is even more hateful. One look at the outrageous Democrat smear campaign aimed at Catholic Judge Brett Kavanaugh shows you that left-wing Democrats will stoop to any vile tactics — no matter how false — to prevent a conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court.

That's why I am repeating now the same strategy FedUp PAC used in 2016 to BRAND Hillary Clinton.

And I am counting on your help NOW because we are running out of time.

FedUp PAC has produced a video called "Warning to Catholics" that BRANDS Democrats as bigoted enemies of Catholics principles.

To ensure Catholics fully understand the extent of anti-Catholic bigotry in the Democrat Party, our video makes clear that Hillary Clinton is not alone in her contempt for Catholics and our Faith. To the contrary, she is just one of many liberal Democrats who despise Christian values and beliefs in general, and Catholics in particular.

The infamous U.S. Senate confirmation hearing for Catholic federal judge nominee Amy Coney Barrett last year is a good example. Democrat U.S. Senator Dick Durbin accusingly asked of Mrs. Barrett, "Do you consider yourself an Orthodox Catholic?" Just by Durbin's tone of voice, everybody knew what he meant.

At the same hearing, Democrat Senator Diane Feinstein scornfully piled on the anti-Catholic bigotry by remarking to Mrs. Barrett, "The dogma (Catholic doctrine) lives loudly within you. And that's of concern. . ."

Reaching back a few years, the FedUp PAC video demonstrates that Hillary Clinton and Diane Feinstein didn't invent Democrat contempt for Catholics.

In editing the 2012 Democrat platform at the party's Presidential Convention, Democrat leaders removed references to God.

When public outcry forced the leaders to amend the platform and restore those references, outraged delegates booed and most believe voted down the amendment by voice vote. Embarrassed party leaders ignored the truth and declared the amendment passed.

All of this is information Catholic voters need to know, and I am afraid Republican campaigns in key states are either unwilling or afraid to nationalize of the strategy FedUp PAC is undertaking. No other group on the conservative side is doing the necessary work to BRAND Democrats like FedUp PAC is.

For instance, look at this list of states with Democrat senators running for reelection, open seats and Texas, where the Left is determined to defeat pro-life Senator Ted Cruz. They are prime targets where FedUp PAC aims to mobilize Catholic voters — just like we did to help the President defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016:

State Approximate number of Catholics

Florida 5,541,175
Indiana 1,339,925
Missouri 1,227,177
North Dakota 226,571
West Virginia 97,366
Arizona 1,841,000
Tennessee 417,400
Texas 6,629,400

Total 17,320,014

And here are the five Democrats we are targeting by distributing our video to Catholic voters and by placing digital ads on social media (on Facebook, for example) platforms:

U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO)
U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly (D-IN)
U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND)
U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV)

U.S.  Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL)
Tennessee and Arizona are open seats and Senator Ted Cruz is the Texas Republican incumbent.

BRANDING Democrat Senate candidates in these states as part and parcel of the bigoted, anti-Catholic Democrat Party will find a significant audience of Catholic voters. Just defeating even two or three of them and winning the open seats plus protecting Senator Cruz will stop a Democrat takeover of the U.S. Senate.

I hope you understand the powerful impact we can have together … and that you will agree to help.

Our plan over the next few weeks includes advertising our "Warning to Catholics" video and using social media tools from Facebook to Twitter to YouTube to Google ads as much as donations permit.

The five Democrat incumbents on our list all voted against an August 2018 amendment to cut off taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood. What's more, Senate Democrats were responsible for blocking last January the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act to ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Don't you think information like that will influence the decisions of Catholic voters in these states?

But November 6 is coming up fast. Florida, North Dakota, Indiana, Arizona, Tennessee and Texas have early voting. That means the pressure is on for FedUp PAC to roll out this campaign without delay.

My mailing list company has already identified for FedUp PAC's use the names of likely Catholic voters in our targeted states. Our ads are ready to run as soon as the money comes in.

We will urge Catholics to forward our message to Catholic family members, friends and church members for even wider exposure as they are passed on from one recipient to the next, over and over again.

If only 10% of the recipients pass on our letter, it could reach as many as 20 or 30 more Catholic voters per letter at no extra cost.

I am familiar with your willingness to contribute to the success of conservative candidates and conservative causes. Your generosity in the past has meant so much to our movement.

I am asking you for the best donation you want to make to increase the impact of FedUp PAC's targeted marketing in these eight states that will determine which party controls the U.S. Senate.

Please bear in mind no one but FedUp PAC has a strategy like this to BRAND Democrats as the party of anti-Catholic bigotry, late-term abortion and taxpayer-paid abortion on demand.

Even still, it is a strategy that depends on volunteer donations to succeed. For instance, a $50,000 contribution would help FedUp PAC reach about 1.5 million Catholic voters in these eight key states with our new video and by placement of digital ads on social media.

A $25,000 donation would give our BRANDING campaign a reach of about 750,000 Catholic voters in the eight targeted states. One of the great advantages of targeted marketing is more "bang for the buck" than any other form of political communication — much more cost-effective than TV and radio put together.

I am not asking you for a commitment on either of those levels. However, your donation and others I am asking conservative Catholics to consider can make a big difference in the ability of FedUp PAC to reach maximum exposure in these eight states for our video and digital ads.

For instance, your $100 donation will help FedUp PAC reach about 3,000 Catholic voters in these eight key states. Your $250 gift will help deliver our video and digital ads to about 7,500 Catholic voters.

Your larger $500 or $1,000 will have a larger impact by paying for our vital BRANDINGads to reach 15,000 or 30,000 Catholics, respectively. The important thing is that you act right now. Early voting in most of these states only adds to the urgency of having the FedUp PAC targeted market campaign reach full exposure immediately.

Make a secure online donation right now to get the FedUp PAC ads running immediately in early voting states, go to https://fedup.org/SavetheSenate.

As you consider your best donation, please keep in mind the recent Senate hearings on Judge Brett Kavanuagh's Supreme Court nomination. You saw the vile smears Democrats in the minority used to inflict such terrible damage on this highly qualified nominee. Imagine just for a moment the damage radical anti-Catholic, pro-abortion Democrats could do with a U.S. Senate majority.

Preventing such an outcome means defeating a few of the Democrat senators on the November ballot, winning the open seats and protecting Senator Cruz. FedUp PAC is the only group with a plan to motivate Catholic voters by using targeted marketing to BRAND Democrats as anti-Catholic bigots in states where the Catholic vote may very well be the deciding factor.

Please don't underestimate the power of the Catholic vote. 2016 was the sixth time in the last seven presidential elections where the candidate who won the Catholic vote won the election. BRANDING Hillary Clinton as a radical anti-Catholic bigot helped FedUp PAC swing the Catholic vote to President Trump.

Your $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or your best donation will help FedUp PAC use the same winning strategy now with so much on the line. Please help. And please don't delay your donation decision. The clock is ticking down to November 6th. FedUp PAC has a plan to prevent a U.S. Senate takeover by anti-Catholic, pro-abortion bigots, but its success depends on your immediate action.

Sincerely,

Richard A. Viguerie
Chairman, FedUp PAC

P.S. Your best donation will put targeted marketing to work in the same way that helped President Trump win the Catholic vote two years ago.

P.P.S. By the way, you don't need to be Catholic to be part of this winning strategy, one that no other group on the conservative side (including the Republican Party) is even attempting. With your help today, FedUp PAC will BRAND Democrats as the party of anti-Catholic bigotry in states where the Catholic vote has outsized influence. Targeted marketing is the fastest, cheapest way to reach a large number of Catholic voters with the vital information I explained earlier. I am counting on your immediate help to make targeted marketing work just like it did two years ago. Thank you.
