Hillary Is Indictment-proof, No Matter Her Crimes

If there was any doubt why Americans are fed up with their ruling class, the announcement that Hillary Clinton is above the law provided a reminder.

FBI Director James Comey says that although his agents found evidence of “violation of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information”, and although “any reasonable person” should have known that Hillary Clinton’s treatment of classified material was wrong, she should suffer no legal penalty.

According to Comey, Clinton was “extremely careless” but not “grossly negligent.” The FBI sees no evidence of “intentional or willful mishandling of classified information” and no “intentional misconduct.”

So somehow Hillary Clinton could do what “any reasonable person” could understand was a violation of government policy, putting our national secrets at risk, but there was nothing “intentional” about it.

The only certainty here is that the fix was in from the beginning. No one in the Obama administration was going to be allowed to indict his preferred successor, no matter the evidence of a crime.

This has been a lawless administration. President Obama made recess appointments when the Senate was not in recess, ordered that illegal aliens be given the amnesty that Congress would not pass, paid insurance companies subsidies that Congress had not funded, carried out military actions Congress had not authorized, and attempted to handicap America’s energy industry without any basis in law.

Should anyone expect that the law would be honored when the potential defendant is about to become the Democratic nominee for president?

We should also notice that the FBI did not investigate whether Clinton violated the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) by concealing her emails. Given what some recently revealed emails say, it seems likely that Clinton was deliberately trying to keep her communications out of the net for FOIA searches.

If Hillary Clinton is elected president in November, her protection from prosecution will continue.

But what if Donald Trump is elected? Who will protect Hillary then?
